Clean Coal Initiative

I support the Clean Coal Initiatives, and the steps this industry has taken in combatting pollution.  Our Air, water, lakes and streams are much cleaner now than they have been in a long time.

Much of Kentucky's electricity comes from the burning of coal.  The mining and exploration of coal is very important to the economy of Kentucky.

Wind Power Research

Although still in research, Wind Power does hold a potential for some savings.

We Must Be Energy Independant to Survive

Importing Oil, Food and other resources do not make us free.  They bind us into a treaty which may not be in the United States best interests.

We need to be Energy Independant, meaning we need to make our own energy with our own resources.  Not import the vast amounts currently coming in now.

Through Exploration, we have vast resources of coal, oil, and natural gas just waiting to be tapped.  The Government must step out of the way, and allow the Safe Exploitation of these Resources.

Through Agriculture, we have such alternatives as Ethanol and Bio Diesel to use in our vehicles made primarily from Corn, Soybeans, and other oils.

Drill Here, Drill Now

This nation is blessed with a vast land with much in resources.

There is lots of oil in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico, the Midwest, and in Texas which remains untapped.

Tapping these resources would go a long way toward our gaining our Energy Independance.

Alternate Fuels -- Clean Energy

There are several alternative fuel sources in development.  Ethenol, Biodiesel, Wind Power, Hydrogen, and others.  I do support these efforts and the developers of these ideas.  I applaud their expertise, and willingness to bring these technologies to market.
